Job Description
Summary:
The Maintenance Manager will provide leadership and direction tohourly union & non-union employees engaged in the daily maintenanceactivities.
EssentialDuties and
Responsibilities:
Assist in a Safe working environmentwithin all SOWA maintenance shops.
Communicate with GM on costs ofrepairing and maintaining equipment
Be involved with all decision makingon purchases of parts (Market place).
Create and back-up purchasing/createP.O.'s., includes Goods Receipting.
Provides current information on 2290for proper tax and license.
Vehicle License and registrations,organizes emission testing.
Communicate costs vs. Monthly budget.
Ensure compliance withcorporate policies, plant rules, environmental and safety procedures, and laws.
Coordinate with otherdepartments to ensure completion of work orders, preventive maintenance, andproactive identification of equipment reliability issues.
Ensure all shop personnelare following CEMEX safety policies and procedures
Assist in training of newmechanics
Flag repairs with warrantypotential and initiate warranty reimbursement
Develops preventivemaintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staffwithin AMG.
Plans, develops, andimplements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimizeoperating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Manage the fleet of Heavy,Ready Mix and Aggregates Delivery equipment which includes timely completion ofroutine day to day maintenance, preventative maintenance which includesplanning for and scheduling long term maintenance (engine, transmission,differential rebuilds) as well as a replacement schedule which supports eachline of business, including disposal/selling of the types of equipment in thefleet.
Must comply with companysafety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment while on plantgrounds. Safety equipment means clothing and apparatus including, but notlimited to hardhat, safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, back supportbelts, gloves and respirators.

Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports
Driver's license required / Able to travel
Ability to work all scheduled hours, including nights, weekends and overtime.
Knowledge of maintenance required and mechanical systems of Heavy Equipment used in Quarries/Pits including Loaders, Dozers, Haul Trucks, Excavators, Manlifts, Gradalls, Cranes and Service Vehicles and Pickups.
Knowledge of Equipment Market Values.

1-5 years of progressive experience managing maintenance shop.

Possess and maintains in good standing, a validWashington driver's license. (A CDL with or without Hazmat endorsement is notrequired, but helpful).

Frequent sitting, standing, andwalking
Physical demands involve lifting, carrying,pulling and pushing objects on a regular basis. Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or 70 lbs.occasionally. Long periods of standingand/or walking required.
